Quintal Farms was established in 1983. We began our business growing and selling Anthuriums and branched out over the years into growing orchids. As we began selling orchids exclusively, we became more interested in orchid species. We have many new and unusual orchid species now growing in the lab. Seed propagation takes more time but the results can be rewarding especially for the diversity it offers. We 'small batch' only 200-300 seedlings of any one species at one time which allows us to diversify into orchids rarely found in the trade. We genuinely feel that we can offer something different to orchid enthusiasts not found at most of the big commercial growers.
We are located on your way to the volcano, near Hilo on the Big Island of Hawaii. This area has a temperate climate, abundant light, and seasonal trade winds, well suited to growing orchids. Our orchids are unique because we believe that no plant should leave here unless it is well grown and healthy. We offer our customers a high quality product and dependable personalized service. We primarily sell to the wholesale market, however we do have a connoisseur section on our site where we sell one of a kind rare orchids or orchid divisions.
